Our “Sports Turf Seminars” are a full day of presentations featuring local and interstate speakers on a range of grounds management topics in a more specific and detailed format. Since 2012 this seminar has been rebranded as the “Turf Alive” seminar hosting between 80 – 150 delegates.
In Western Australia, irrigation is a vital component of quality turf management, hence our “Irrigation Seminar” has been a popular seminar featuring local and interstate speakers presenting a range of technical and practical up-to-date information specific to irrigation equipment and products, reticulation design and water conservation. The STA (WA) is committed in assisting the WA Department of Water in developing the efficient and effective application of irrigation water onto turf areas, all the while emphasising the true value of quality green space within a sustainable, healthy and prosperous urban environment.
In conjunction with the Turf Growers Association of WA the STA(WA) hosts a biennial “WA Turf Seminar” every two years. This is a popular and nationally recognised major seminar for the Western Australian turf industry. Some of the highly anticipated sessions at this seminar are the presentations by the respected lecturers from the UWA School of Plant Biology, summarising findings from the Turf Research Facility in Shenton Park.
Since 2011 this seminar also hosts a popular Trade Exhibition and Demonstration showcasing the products, equipment and array of services from supporting local turf affiliated businesses.
